Summer balls; Christmas parties; Corporate events and presentation evenings; Live music events; and What type of music do you play? Anything from the 60's, through the 70's, 80's and 90's to the 2000's, including Pop, Rock, Indie, House, UK Garage, R&B, Rap, Tamla Motown, Northern Soul and Disco. Soft background music can be played whilst your guests are arriving and also during any meal or buffet, if required. Almost all of the music that I play is on computerised MP3 format and therefore available for play quickly when requested. Do you take requests? Absolutely! It's your night and I want your guests to leave feeling that they enjoyed the music that was played. Requests are welcome on the night, and I also encourage an advance request list from you to give me an idea of the type of music you will require. I want to have a band as well as a disco - is that ok? Of course it is. Having worked in the past with bands such as Edwin Starr & the Team, Chas & Dave and Vision, amongst others, I am happy to support any live entertainment that you have, and to liaise with band members with regards to equipment setup, stage area, playing times and playlists. In addition, you can arrange for your band to run through the DJ sound system if they wish, for a small additional fee. You will turn up on the day, won't you? Yes. I haven't let anyone down in 20 years as a DJ. I also issue a contract to confirm all arrangements. You won't be too loud will you? The volume of the music is entirely up to you. If you want a loud disco then this is possible. However, I appreciate that a lot of discos are also family functions and you may wish to talk to friends and relatives that you don't see so often. Of course I am happy to reduce the volume to facilitate this so you don't have to shout to each other. Additionally, if during the evening's entertainment you feel that the volume is too high, I will not be offended if asked to turn it down, nor will I turn it back up again minutes after you have walked away. You play MP3's - aren't they illegal? All tracks that I play on MP3 are taken from original CD's in my collection, so no my MP3's are not illegal downloads. Because they are taken from CD, the original quality is also maintained. Another disco has quoted me a lower price - why aren't you that cheap? A lot of factors need to be considered when booking your disco. Ask yourself the following questions:

Yes, a Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certificate is available for inspection on demand, and is renewed annually. Do you do children's parties? Normally I do not provide discos for pre-teenage parties, but exceptions may be made. Do you do karaoke? Unfortunately this is not a service that I currently offer |
